Maryland School Bus Driver Under Investigation For Suspected DUI: Police

A school bus driver in Carroll County was allegedly under the influence when she crashed in Eldersburg, police said.

Tammy Frock, of Westminster, was driving on Route 32 near Bartholow Road in Eldersburg at approximately 2:15 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 15 when she crashed her bus into a pole, downing wires, according to the Sykesville Freedom District Fire Department.

Frock is allegedly being investigated for a possible DUI, according to reports.

Upon arrival, officials said that crews found the bus with no children inside and a utility pole broken in half.

The crash led police to shut down the entire roadway while they investigated and cleared the scene. Route 32 was reopened at approximately 11 p.m. on Thursday night as Baltimore Gas & Electric made repairs to the pole and electric lines.

Charges against Frock are pending.
